The first genuine real beer to be brewed on the island of Capri. A fresh, non-pasteurized, unfiltered product, which retains all of its organoleptic properties, free of chemical additives and made with only natural ingredients; water, barley malt, hops, and a generous helping of - passion!

Its delicate effervescence, the slightly cloudy appearance, and the eventual sediment, are all natural characteristics of the beer. Produced in only small quantities, at the end of the first fermentation period it is transferred into the bottles where it undergoes a process of slow ri-fermentation, according to the Champenoise method.

The beer is served in an elegant 75cl., goblet type 'champagnotta' glass. Birra di Capri is a superbly light and refreshing lager.

The malt lends the beer its particular color and soft taste whilst the hops, which represent this drinks true soul, are responsible for its distinctive bitter flavour; the yeast, the agent responsible for the entire fermentation process, produces a superb head. The aftertaste is characterised by light flowery notes. So as to best enjoy the beer, it should be served at a temperature between 8 and 10°C.

An ideal, pre-dinner drink, Birra di Capri also forms the perfect accompaniment to delicate flavoured antipasti and white meats.
