La Certosella 3 stars

La Certosella is located a few minutes away from the famous 'Piazzetta' on the prestigious street called Tragara. The hotel is considered the first building constructed in the green Tragara area. It was built in 1880 by Camille Du Locle, who is known in Capri simply as 'o francesiello', who was the director of the Opera Comique of Paris and writer of Verdi's libretti for 'Don Carlos' and 'La Forza del Destino'. In the rooms of the 'La Certosella', some with balonies and some with terraces with a sea view, you can still feel the old atmosphere. Today La Certosella has a reading room, two bars, restaurant and a nice swimming pool overlooking the sea.
