TerraMMare Anacapri Farmhouse Holidays

To date, TerraMMare is the only farm stay on the Island of Capri. Resting on the green slopes of Montesolaro, TerraMMare enjoys a wonderfully panoramic position gazing out over the pretty town of Anacapri below and the sea and islands of the 'Bay of Naple in the distance.

TerraMMare extends over some 16.000sqm of land, only part of which is cultivated. The remaining land has been left wild and is covered by spontaneously growing woodland stretching all the way up to the summit of Monte Solaro. TerraMMare's farm is used to grow organic fruit and vegetables and for pig rearing. In association with vets from the Campania region, TerraMMAre is involved in a project to encourage the repopulation of the wood with animal species indigenous to the island and which might otherwise risk extinction.

The farm stay has been created in an old stone building, meticulously restored and converted so as to provide attractive guest accommodation for visitors eager to experience a taste of life in the countryside of Anacapri. Looking at the photos of how the site used to appear up until only a few years ago, it is difficult to believe that Milena, TerraMMare's owner, was able (almost single handedly), to transform what was little more than a pile of rocks in today's charming farm stay.

Guest accommodation is provided in 4 comfortable double bedrooms and 1 suite, all of which have fabulous views over the mountainside, the roof tops of Anacapri, and 'the sea. Meals served in the welcoming dining room and on the panoramic terrace are prepared using the products grown on the farm. During their stay at TerraMMare, guests are given the opportunity to participate in life on the farm: feeding the animals, picking the crops, and helping Milena prepare her own delicious versions of island specialties.
