An exceptional location, the splendid Villa Lysis, a view of the whole island of Capri and a debate between two great names in International politics: protagonists Fausto Bertinotti, ex leader of Italy's house of parliament and Alexey Meshkow, Russian ambassador in Italy.

The debate, part of the IV edition of the Gorky prize, celebrating Russian and Italian relations, will be moderated by the journalist Gennaro Sangiuliano. In the same occasion a photographic exhibition dedicated to the Russian ballet dancer Nureyev will be inaugurated.

On April 21st , from 18:00hrs to 21:00hrs, the Nievo comprehensive school in Capri and the Gemito comprehensive school in Ancapri will host the inauguration of the Travelogue exhibition.

Travelogue sees professional artists working alongside students to create unique and original artworks. All the works produced will be exhibited inside the schools.

On May 22nd, Capri's Charterhouse will provide the enchanting setting for the 4th edition of the Gorky prize, the International literary competition fruit of the cultural exchange between Italy and Russia.

The award ceremony will be followed by a concert performed by musicians from St Petersburg Mariinskij Theater.

St. Antonio is the Patron Saint of Anacapri, celebrated every June 13th.

The day of the celebrations a long and sombre procession is performed carrying the statue of the Saint through the streets of the center and at its passing, from the balconies, the faithful throw broom flower, the flower of Saint Antonio.

On June 17th 2012, as part of the World Open Water Swimming Championship, the 47th Capri-Naples swimming marathon will be held. For the occasion, athletes from around the world will meet to swim across the 36km of sea lying between the Island of Capri and Naples.

After the success of the exhibitions dedicated to Von Gloeden, Mimmo Jodice, Herbert List and Maurizio Galimberti, this year, Fondazione Capri's Summer Photography Festival celebrates the works of Ferdinando Scianna and Irene Kung.

The photographic exhibition "Mare Nostrum", curated by Denis Curti and featuring the works of Ferdinando Scianna and Irene Kung will be inaugurated un July 7th 2012, in the Stanze del Priore in the Charterhouse of San Giacomo.
