Book a private transfer to Capri and the Amalfi Coast
How do private transfers to Capri work?
You can choose two different types of private transfer through our site:
Transfer with ferry: your driver will meet you at the pre-arranged location and take you to the port, where you will be provided with tickets to the next departing ferry and assistance boarding. Once on Capri, a hostess will meet you at the port and take you to the taxi, arranging for baggage transport. If your hotel is located in a pedestrian area, your hostess will lead you on foot to your hotel.
Transfer with private speedboat: your driver will meet you at the airport or station and take you to the private pier where you will hop on board a motorboat and reach Capri in about 40 minutes. Once at the port, a taxi will pick you up and take you to your hotel; if your hotel is located in a pedestrian only area, a hostess will walk you to your hotel and arrange for baggage transport.
È possibile prenotare questo tipo di transfer per Capri da Roma e da Napoli. Sono disponibili anche transfer privati da Positano, Amalfi e Sorrento.
I am landing in Naples in the evening...can I make it to Capri on the same night?
If your flight lands too late to catch the final ferry of the day to Capri, you can still book a transfer with a private speedboat. These transfers are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
What happens when there are rough seas?
If sea conditions make crossing impossible, you can choose to delay your transfer or take the ferry. If ferry routes are also suspended, our partners will help you find accommodation in Naples until seas calm enough to cross.
How do transfers to the Amalfi Coast work?
Car transfers to the Amalfi Coast are the most comfortable way to get from Naples to Positano, without having to connect between different public transportation routes. Your driver will pick you up at the airport, train station, or other meeting point and take you directly to your hotel. Private car transfers are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
I need to travel between Capri and the Amalfi Coast. Can I book a private boat?
Of course, you can book a simple boat transfer from Capri to Positano, or a tour including a sail around the island of Capri and pick-up or drop-off in Positano, a great way to combine your transfer with a day at sea while your bags are safely kept dry below deck.
Renting a Scooter on Capri
Is renting a scooter a good way to get around Capri?
Renting a scooter is a great way to see Capri, but only if you have some experience driving on two wheels as the roads are narrow and curvy. You can get around the island quickly with your own scooter, exploring Capri town, Anacapri, and the countryside. Remember that the town centers are pedestrian only, so you will have to park and walk to the main sights. Scooter parking in town is paid only; there is free parking at the lighthouse and the Blue Grotto.
Do I need a motorcycle license to rent a scooter?
No, all the rental scooters are 50 or 125 cc, so you do not need a motorcycle license.
Can two passengers ride on the same scooter?
Yes, rental scooters on Capri can carry two people, and you will be provided with two helmets (required).
