Ristorante Bar Columbus is an absolute must when visiting the lively center of Anacapri. Located next to the chairlift to Monte Solaro, it's the ideal place to sip a drink or enjoy a light lunch on the terrace.

If you have time to linger over a relaxing lunch, the owners of Columbus - Anacapri natives - are happy to welcome you with traditional island dishes prepared with local seasonal ingredients.

Authentic intense local flavors and traditional dishes make up the heart of the menu at Columbus. The menu was carefully crafted to highlight Capri's unique culinary tradition, which is enhanced here by fresh farm-to-table ingredients.

On winter weekend afternoons, stop here for a warm break with hot tea and exquisite pastries directly from Sicily. You can stay and watch the world go by or take a break and then come back in the evening for a drink with friends.

On the Columbus website you can purchase olive oil produced by the "L'Oro di Capri" association. This group preserves the ancient olive-growing tradition of Capri, supporting farmers in maintaining all-natural growing techniques using the island's ancient olive groves.

We ate at the restaurant upstairs. We were in Capri on a boat trip so had limited time. We were met at the door and ushered upstairs by a man telling me with a smile to trust him. He was not wrong. It was a memorable lunch. The gentleman that seated us was the same that made our food. He had us try the local olive oil. It was the best we have had in Italy. He made a fresh sea bass filet and fresh local vegetables. It was my favorite meal in Italy. I’m not sure how he caramelized the fish. It was melt in your mouth delicious. Really a meal to remember. Don’t miss this place. Thank you to both of the men.

Chill place for a drink (however expensive)!

Anacapri as well as Capri are invaded by tourists ... (like us 😉) and of course everything is really expensive (at least compared to Naples). We had 2 drinks (birra alla spina 8.70, vino/calice 7.50), = ok, we enjoyed the view and the service was also customer friendly (2 young waitresses).

Una cena eccellente, grande attenzione per il cliente, materie prime a km.0 oppure selezionatissime. È un posto che non ti aspetti, in un’isola affollata di turismo c’è una terrazza che affaccia sulla piazzetta di Anacapri, che di giorno pullula di gente ma la sera diventa un’oasi silenziosa. Ottimo anche il rapporto prezzo/qualità.

A hidden jewel amongst tourist

This is a fascinating restaurant tucked right in the epicenter of tourist hell, and if somebody had not recommended, I would never have gone in, glad I did! The daily specials were outstanding, staff, tremendous, dessert was wonderful, and bathrooms were very clean, you need to go to the second story of the restaurant, that is where a safe space of quietness and excellent food with tremendously attentive staff, I really enjoyed my lunch here as in my wife
