Capri Marina Grande
A cluster of colorful houses, home to Capri's fishermen, and the island's biggest beach.
Ferries and hydrofoils to Capri dock at the island's Marina Grande. This is where the Harbor Office and the main Tourist Office are located, the latter offers all sorts of information, including times of departures for the tour of the island. The ticket offices of all the major navigational companies, the island's buses and Funicular railway are behind the Tourist office.
Close by, there is Marina Grande public seafront (Capri's largest), which, in the summer, is the departure point for boats heading to Palazzo a Mare. To the left of the Tourist Office are Piazza Vittoria and the Funicular railway station, the taxi stand, a newsagent's kiosk, a Chemist shop, and a whole variety of bars, restaurants and shops selling the island's typical gastronomic delicacies. Along the road named after Cristoforo Colombo is the tourist harbor, where holidaymakers can see the luxury yachts of Capri's most glamorous visitors.
