The Aurora Restaurant and Pizzeria is one of Capri's oldest restaurants. For more than a century the D'Alessios have continued to promote the culinary traditions of the island, creating what has been referred to as a kind of "gastronomical museum" lovingly curated by 3 successive generations of the family.

The best of Mediterranean cuisine is served in the large dining room with a splendid veranda overlooking the historical Fuorlovado street. Chef Franco Aversa adds a pinch of creative flair to the traditional Neapolitan and Caprese dishes, a sprinkle of originality which places the Aurora among the most exclusive restaurants on the island.

The Aurora boasts a wine cellar with over 300 labels from Tuscany, Piedmont, Campania, Puglia, and Sicily and a selection of excellent French and Californian wines - another of the reasons why the Aurora has become a must on any gastronomic itinerary and a popular haunt of celebraties visiting the island.

The family restaurant Aurora was the first to bring carefully chosen quality wines to Capri, and has maintained their dedication for many years. The constant search for the best Italian wines and their ever-expanding cellar has led Aurora to open Vino, a winehouse in the heart of Capri.

O restaurante Aurora é uma opção para quem quer comer bons pratos e está disposto a pagar caro! O atendimento é muito bom, típico italiano, alguns garçons vem a mesa conversam e interagem com os turistas - as vezes falam até demais. Os pratos são primorosos, principalmente as carnes - Tbone e Vitela ao tartufi são bem saborosos. Carta de vinho enorme com muitas opções. Destaque para os preços, iguais a restaurantes com ambiente mais sofisticado, elegante e até com vista. A conta é bem salgada.

Consistently the best food on the island. However in July and most of August you need to be prepared to wait for your table. Try not eating inside bc it is cramped and very noisy but the outside tables are very pleasant. Pizza is a thin crust and really good, carpaccio and their tuna tartare are outstanding. A Capri experience but can be frustrating in season when the wait can be long, Very professional waiters who work non stop to make your meal memorable. Enjoy !

Arrived and the place was very crowded. The service was terrible. The servers acted like if they were doing you a favor for eating there. The food was bland and cold. Not coming back.

Non mi è piaciuto per nulla…la pizza che tanto decantano per la loro ricetta segreta e’ veramente pessima e sinceramente con un costo esageratissimo…vi dico solo che dopo sono dovuta andare da un’altra parte per mangiare. Inoltre un buco di posto e siamo stati seduti a pochi centimetri da altre persone sconosciute. Una vera delusione. Solo i camerieri veramente gentili ed educati.
