FAQ - Frequently asked questions
To visit Capri, should I book a tour or can I visit the island on my own?
Capri is a small island that is easy to visit on your own. That said, it can be crowded with long queues for the funicular, buses, and the Blue Grotto. In the summer, its fun and convenient to join shared boat tour departing from Sorrento or Positano.
Can I book a tour of the Blue Grotto?
The Blue Grotto is only open to the public when the sea and weather conditions are favorable; when there are strong winds and high seas, the grotto i closed. This is why tickets are only for sale directly at the entrance to the grotto and you can only book a tour that includes a stop to visit the Blue Grotto.
What kinds of guided tours are offered on Capri?
You can book a local guide to visit Capri town and Anacaprti, or join a guided hiking tour along the trails crisscrossing the island. You can also opt for self-guided packages like "Capri Day Tour" that includes a boat tour, lunch, and transportation tickets on the island, or all-inclusive tours from Sorrento and Positano.
