If you fancy some good honest island cooking served within spitting distance of the sea, you'll want to join the locals dining on the water edge terraces of Capri's Bagni di Tiberio restaurant.

Considering its sea edge location, it is hardly surprising if Bagni di Tiberio's menus are dominated by fish and seafood specialties. The restaurant's excellent maritime cuisine is complimented by a superb selection of local and regional wines.

In the immediate vicinity of the restaurant there is a small landing wharf, for those arriving by boat, and the historic Bagni di Tiberio bathing establishment, this latter with private pebble beach, solarium and a snack bar serving light lunches and salads.

Good restaurant in a great location

This restaurant had a beautiful view and was off the beaten path. We arrived by a private charter and our captain made reservations here. It is Capri, so you might pay about 5 to 10 more euros per dish, but you don’t have to fight all the other tourists in the main town of Capri. You can have a nice meal. You can take a shuttle to the main town, but it was August and very crowded so we returned to the restaurant and our boat after being in the town for 15 minutes.

Questo ristorantino è una chicca a bordo spiaggia dove respirare la tipica aria caprese. L’ambiente è molto ben curato. La saletta è esattamente sul mare, sospesa su di essa. Il vento ed il profumo del mare vi coccoleranno per tutta la vostra esperienza culinaria. Il personale è preparato e attento ad ogni richiesta del cliente. Il servizio puntuale, ordinato e senza intoppi. Abbiamo scelto degli ottimi spaghetti alle vongole ed una milanese con patatine per la nostra pausa pranzo. Da provare…

A Seaside Gem on the Isle of Capri

Our family of six chartered a boat from Sorrento to visit the Isle of Capri. On the way, we asked our captain for a restaurant recommendation. He assured us he had excellent options and offered to make a reservation on our behalf. Upon arrival at the dock, we were promptly escorted to a beautiful seaside table that was ready and waiting for us. The service was attentive and efficient throughout. We ordered a variety of entrées (see photos), and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. We highly recommend this restaurant—not only for its stunning views and peaceful setting away from the busy town center, but also for the unforgettable experience of arriving by boat.

Salve sono stato sabato 12 Luglio e penso di non tornarci più xké: titolare poco professionale e anche un po' arrogante,stabilimento con postazione molto vicine,poca privacy e molta confusione verbale, prezzi altissimi e mare poco pulito e limpido con sassi enormi i primi metri d'acqua,c'è da farsi male.Non lo consiglio

A leisurely 15 minute walk is all that lies between the port of Marina Grande and the terraces of Bagni di Tiberio. Clients can reach the restaurant on foot or by boat. Boats to the restaurant and bathing establishment depart from the small jetty just behind the ticket offices in Marina Grande.
