Canzone del Mare's menus feature deliciously simple, flavor-packed Mediterranean dishes, prepared using the freshest of ingredients, including fish and seafood caught by the local fishermen and the island's super sweet, sun-ripened fruit and vegetables and pungent local herbs.

The wine list contains an impressive selection of Italian and regional wines, best sampled with juicy yellow peaches, a delicious island tradition.

Not only is Canzone del Mare one of Capri's best known restaurants, it is also a popular bathing establishment with two pools, an exclusive venue in which to host a glamorous wedding reception, gala dinner or private party. If paradise exists, it's at La Canzone del Mare. Rare kindness and professionalism, stunning rooms with a view of the faraglioni, divine food, helpful staff, and always with a smile.

As of today, July 26, definitely not, everything was inedible and tasteless and prices were unnecessarily exaggerated......... I almost caused a scene...

I have known this restaurant for several years, last time I went was August 2024 where I ate like a king and everything was pleasant (including the bill). As of today, July 12, 2026, terrible!!!!! Not recommended ….. fish is not like it used to be, dishes were horrid and inedible, it felt like plastic. They don't make raw dishes anymore. Fisherman's risotto that looked like rice with sauce!!!! A MINI shrimp tartare, it looked like minced meat, not even very good, 60 euros. (I am attaching all photos) . I am attaching a photo of the 2024 receipt (181 euros) and the July 2026 receipt (257 euros) MADNESS In 2024 we had raw dishes of: 2 oysters 2 jumbo shrimp 2 scampi 4 venus clams. Trio of tartare . 2 pasta dishes (seafood scialatielli and shrimp and stracciata tagliolini) and finally the fried calamari. Today, July 12, we had- 2 simple tartares with oil and salt GIVEN THE EXCLUSIVELY GOURMET AND INEDIBLE MENU. These were almost tasteless and nonexistent!!!! 2 tasteless pasta dishes and anything but what they should have been!! (Fisherman's risotto (which looked like it had sauce) and seafood nerano (which looked like anything but seafood)) . Furthermore, the fried calamari had a nonexistent taste and was inedible…….. I am attaching photos of the receipts…… P.S. : even the maître d' didn't know how to answer for this menu since he was used to the real and I mean REAL CANZONE DEL MARE…….. ITALIAN CUISINE AND NOT GOURMET…. In fact, Domenico's restaurant was almost empty at lunch and had zero foot traffic. I am attaching receipts Almost closing time… I didn't check or cause any trouble only because I was with my partner…. Absurdity at extreme levels.

Beautiful place, the quality-price ratio is a bit higher than average, but it is justified given the location and the excellent quality of the food service, whether you want to stay on the sunbeds or sit at the restaurant.
