Since 1955 the Motoscafisti Capri organize tours of the Island and transfers to the Blue Grotto: the most beautiful and cheapest way to discover Capri from the sea.
Tour of the island
- Departures: from 9.30 to 13 nonstop departures all day for the Tour of the Island. Arrivals in the afternoon on request.
- Time: 2 hours
The sailor will show you all the amazing beauties of Capri: the Salto di Tiberio, the Grotta Bianca, the Faraglioni, the Grotta Verde, the Lighthouse of Punta Carena and finally the Blue Grotto where we will stop by for those who want to visit it. The ticket for entering the Grotto is due to pay at the entrance.
Transfer to the Blue Grotto
- Departures: from 9 to 17 nonstop departures all day departures from pier n.0 in Marina Grande
- Time: 1 hour
Motoscafisti di Capri will accompany you from Marina Grande to the entrance of the Blue Grotto, where you have to move to a smaller rowing boat for entering the cave. The ticket for the Blue Grotto must be paid separately and it costs 14 euros.
Motoscafisti di Capri also organizes excursions with private boat, planning tours for large groups and providing transfer&charter service.

The island tour is an experience we recommend. Keep in mind that there are boats of different sizes. The small boats for couples or small groups are wonderful, although a bit more expensive. The medium-sized boats for no more than 20 people are the cheapest option and meet all expectations. The captain of our boat was super friendly; he showed us special places on the island, behaved like a friendly sailor, and gave us a spectacular closing tour with music worthy of a movie scene. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it. We highly recommend it.

The walk around the island is an experience we recommend. You should note that there are boats of different sizes. The tour was amazing and me and my family we explored the island of Capri in just a day thanks to the boat tour but unfortunately we didn’t have the chance to go to the blu grotto due to the high tide.
Not as advertised - avoid!

Booked on this tour as a way to see the island AND stop at the blue grotto. Tickets paid, sitting on the boat and under way and il capitano says that we might not stop at the blue grotto after all. Sure enough, 1 hour and 10 mins into our trip (advertised as 2 hours I’ll just point out) he says there’s not enough time to stop and ‘just come another time’. Grazie for nothing, amico. So no stop at the blue grotto AND a trip 30 mins shorter than advertised. Very disappointing and essentially daylight robbery. There are lots of boat tours, look for one who provides the tour they advertise and avoid these banditi. (Lots of other people complained as they disembarked and the staff spouted some nonsense that the blue grotto was closed (despite us watching countless boats go in with our own eyes just 20 mins earlier). I guess you can say what you like when you have already been paid…

The kiosk is located at the exit from the pier in Capri.
I did the boat ride around the island, which cost EUR 25 per person. There are seats both in the front and back (discovered) and inside (covered) of the boat. Those who sit in front can get some water splashes, if the sea is more agitated.
It is a complete tour of the island, with the boat stopping in the most picturesque places. At each stop the boatman makes a full round of the axis so everyone can take pictures.
The whole tour takes a little more than 1 hour, and I recommend sitting on the right side of the boat.
IMPORTANT: This tour does not make stops to enter the water, in front of the Blue Cave, but does not allow the visit. There are specific tours for this.
