Beautiful Views and Wonderful Service in Capri

We had a very enjoyable stay at Punta Tragara. Our Junior Suite was beautiful, comfortable, and had absolutely breathtaking views of Capri and the Faraglioni. We also loved the scenery and relaxing atmosphere around the pool areas. The staff throughout the hotel were attentive and helpful, particularly with our restaurant and beach club arrangements. A special mention must go to Elena, the breakfast manager, who was exceptional. She was incredibly warm, kind, and attentive and made us feel genuinely welcome every morning. She consistently went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our breakfast and was one of the highlights of our stay. There were a few areas that could be improved. We would have appreciated clearer directions before our arrival, as we were not prepared for the long walk from central Capri and had to ask for directions several times in the summer heat. Some type of electric cart or transportation service between the hotel and the main area of Capri would be a wonderful addition. We were also disappointed with our dinner at Monzù, which unfortunately did not meet our expectations. Overall, Punta Tragara is a beautiful property in a spectacular setting, with wonderful staff and unforgettable views. With a few improvements, the experience could be even better.

I pretty much died at the price of this hotel per night. Fortunately we got an upgrade that made the place a little easier to stomach. The employees at this hotel rock from the front desk, to wait staff, to people by the pool, especially Federico. Everyone is re super friendly and aim to please in a non-intrusive way. The outdoor pool area is stunning. There are two pools near each other. The room we had was well appointed and had good lighting. The views were also special from our room and throughout the hotel grounds. The hotel sits on a perch and the walk from town does take about 10-15 minutes, passing through a lot of shopping that made me kind of sad to see the way commercial tourism has invaded this island. The concierge in person and through email could not be more helpful. My only small comment would be the breakfast, while nice, was not nearly as special as the other places we stayed in Italy. Our lunch by the pool on premise was a great option. The place is walking distance to many other restaurants. Thank you PT for a gift of sharing your precious views with me.

Excellent!!! Since may be 15 years ago, we spend a wonderful weekend at Punta Tragara Hotel and every year it is very special and very unique, from the "welcome" that we receive at the entrance to the moment when we leave to go back home! Thank you for everything.
