Your elegant island home, in Anacapri

  1. A holiday in a historic house, in the center of Anacapri
  2. Meals to remember at the Da Gelsomina restaurant
  3. A swim in the pool overlooking the Bay of Naples

For centuries, the villas of Capri have been providing elegant retreats for holidaymakers coming to the island in search of wellbeing and relaxation. Hotel Villa Ceselle, close to the historic center of Anacapri, continues this long-standing tradition, providing todays guests with the intimacy of an elegant private home and the services of a 3 star hotel.

As they enter Villa Ceselle, clients are greeted by the sensation of peace and tranquility which reigns supreme over this intimate little guest house. The light-filled public areas are almost entirely furnished in delicate shades of white, cream and oatmeal, as are the spacious bedrooms, all of which feature traditional stone paved floors and barrel vaulted ceilings. Equipped with all modern conveniences, each room has a generously sized ensuite bathroom, complete with exclusive courtesy range. An independent apartment with kitchen is available for those who prefer to self cater.

The soothing neutral palette of Villa Ceselle's interiors provides a pleasing contrast to the piercing blue of the Mediterranean sky and lush green of the gardens visible from the hotel's sun kissed terraces and balconies, some of which afford splendid views of the sea and the islands of the Bay of Naples.

Hotel Villa Ceselle is owned by the Maresca family. Regular visitors to Capri will recognize the Marescas as the personable proprietors of Da Gelsomina, an eatery famous for its excellent traditional island cuisine and scenic location, right next to Anacaprìs Migliera viewing point. A free shuttle service is available from the hotel to both Da Gelsomina's restaurant and panoramic swimming pool.

Booked a day trip from Sorrento to Capri and decided to stay overnight, found this amazing hotel it was absolutely gorgeous our only regret is we couldn’t stay longer. The location was perfect 10 minutes stroll into the small town, the views from our room were spectacular , service and friendliness by all staff outstanding. The best amenities in a hotel I’ve ever stayed in and plentiful. The breakfast and coffee brilliant Thank you one day I will definitely come back and stay longer.

Probably one of the best Capri accomodation offers

When I say, it might be one of the best accomodation the island offers, it do not mean I'm a Capri expert who's spent a lot of time there and has a profound knowledge on the hotels' offer. It's rather my 2days stay insight from two walkabouts through Capri (city) and Anacapri (the twin city nearby). Since the majority of hotels, b&Bs and such like are located somewhwere at or near the main streets (may even a main street be a 2 meters wide cobblestone pathway), this hotel is off the main circulation lines, a fact that makes it a little more difficult to find and reach but also provides for the major advantage of the spot: it is a big villa sourrounded by a garden, a lot of green platns, and tuckey away from the island traffic and the passers-by glances. There, you can feel the serenity of Capri, its evening (or morning) tranquility, something fairly unlikely to find if your hotel is crammed in between many other accomodation establishments, restaurants, shops or similar. The rooms (at the least the double room we had) are spacious, elegant and well equipped (so is the bathroom). The standard fully complies with what you might expect in a *** star hotel. The breakfast (serviced in the garden) is adequate. What I might've objected, though, was just the quality of the coffee (rather a cheap street beverage dispenser type of drink than an Italian beverage landmark). The staff speaks well English and is helpful if you have any questions or issues with what and when to see on Capri (a topic in itself...!). What is somewhat painful is inevitably the price, but it's Capri - you cannot expect a decent accomodation at a bargain price, particularly when the high season starts and the island gradually becomes flooded with tourists...

Beautiful hotel and location

Wow what a fabulous and beautiful place and I have no idea why it’s only rated 3 stars. Immaculate rooms with everything you need and more and tastefully decorated. The property and grounds are very well maintained as are the social seating areas. WiFi worked well. Staff are lovely and especially the lady on reception. It’s a short stroll into Anacapri with 2 ways of waking. The hotel isn’t crowded and peaceful. I believe there is a pool at their sister hotel with they will arrange transportation for you. We would definitely stay here again This is a 4 star at least!

This hotel is set in some lovely grounds with amazing views. The breakfast is simple contintental breakfast with great coffee and self service options. Small rooms which are very clean and comfortable. The staff are amazing and very helpful. The only downside is that they do have have a pool but their sister hotel does which the staff can arrange for you. A number of areas that provide peaceful time to relax or read a book A 10 - 15 minute walk gets you to the centre and then it a 3 euro bus ride to Capri centre where its all happening.

Hotel Villa Ceselle is located in Anacapri, the picturesque little town resting at the foot of the Island of Capri's Monte Solaro. The hotel sits right at the start of the road which, from Anacapri, leads to the legendary Grotta Azzurra.

Within meters of the hotel, there is a bus stop from where to catch buses to the lighthouse of Punta Carena, the town of Capri and the port. Anacapri's historic center, famous for its Villa San Michele, the Monte Solaro chairlift, the Church of San Michele, and the Casa Rossa Museum, is just a pleasant, five minute walk away.
