Are you looking for a relaxing, stress-free visit to the island of Capri? Then settle in and unwind at Villa Pollio, a friendly family-run guest-house in the center of Anacapri that has just opened its doors to guests this year.
The villa was the Pollio family home for generations, who were known by everyone in town since they owned both the local grocery store and butcher shop. Their traditional island home, with its high vaulted ceilings and whitewashed walls, is located right in the center of Anacapri overlooking the lovely Piazza Cerio. Once, animals for the butcher shop were raised in the adjoining garden, and you can still stop and say hello to Liberato, who has owned and operated his nearby local shop for decades.
Guests are welcomed by Roberta, the youngest member of the Pollio family, together with her partner, Fabio. There are five guest rooms, each with a private bathroom and a few small touches for extra comfort, including mini-fridges and an electric kettle.
All villa guests can relax on the small outdoor terrace with tables and chairs overlooking the town's main square. This is the perfect spot to sip a glass of wine and watch the town comings and goings.
Villa Pollio boasts an excellent location right in the center of Anacapri overlooking the main piazza, and is on a pedestrian street so you won't be bothered by traffic noise. Restaurants, cafès, bakeries, and shops are all just steps away, and the bus stop for routes to Capri is just 50 meters up the lane.
