Disgraceful business practices - scamming tourists

Laser Capri are the first ticket office you see as you disembark the ferry. Nothing more than a scam - they take passengers with absolutely no intention of them going into the Blue Grotto - which is the expectation. Firstly there's an extra €18 to pay to men in the rowboats which is fine but not disclosed. We were the second group to go out and we later discovered the first group didn't go into the Grotto as the tide was too high - they take your money knowing you won't be going into the Grotto. They claim they are not aware of the high tide until they get there ?! How does a company operating a boat on the water not consult weather and tide information?! I presume someone is communicating with the men in the roboats about the tides in advance?! There's also a disclaimer on the ticket that if the wait to go in is longer than 45 min they will keep going. With the amount of people on the boat there's no way they would get everyone in that Grotto in under 45min. Reading the reviews - it seems rare that anyone gets to actually go into the Grotto with this company. The guys in the ticket booth are beyond rude. Dismissive and unbothered - their response? "Come back another day" - unlikely for tourists on a day trip to see the very thing they promise. Watch out for Carlo in the ticket office - who's behaviour I will liken to a used car salesman

100% Scam. Don’t get fooled they’ll charge you €24 and won’t tell you that the actual blue grotto is closed for the day. Very poor - no refund no care. Basically, you pay for a boat tour around the island- just bad luck and they don’t care.

The beauties of the island seen from the sea

The beauty of the island can be admired on foot, taking a car tour, or a tour of the island by boat. There are many boats that leave from Marina Grande – the main port of Capri – and offer this service to those who want it. We went too and we didn't regret it. We paid 24 euros each for a tour of the island by sea, without stopping at the famous Blue Grotto – it was already late in the afternoon and the access was closed, you could no longer visit. On the boat there was also a guide who told us about the places we saw. We found out that the island has not only the famous Blue Grotto, but also the Green Grotto, the White Grotto, the Sailors' Grotto, the Mermaids' Grotto ... Being on the boat, we passed among the famous Faraglioni rocks that appear in all the post cards dedicated to the island. We spent about an hour at sea, circling the island and enjoying its beauties.
